FEBRUARY 22, 1929 I Notice to Dog Owners Section 9 3 6 7 , O reg on Lews , at amen ded by the 1 9 2 5 CHERRYVILLE, Feb. 20.— (Spe cial).— Moritz Peterson, Cherryville’s interesting seaman, was a Sandy visi tor recently. Mr. and Mrs. Chirstian- son, who were on the Douglass place, have been with Mr. Peterson recently at Ye Old Clipper InD A. J. Wyant o f the Sandy Lumber company vicinity is waiting for the snow to leave to begin contracting and carpentering again. “ Dad” Wilson finds business rather quiet at his store at the Sandy Lum ber company mill since weather con ditions have stopped all work there. Mrs.| Blanche Lundy o f Sandy was a recent Cherryville visitor. Legislature, reads as f o ll o w s :— EVERY PERSON OWNING OR KEEPING A DOG OVER THE AGE OF 8 MONTHS within the State of Oregon shall, NOT LATER THAN MARCH 1 of each year or within 30 days after he becomes the owner or keeper o f such dog, procure from the County Clerk o f the county in which said person resides a license for such dog, by paying to the County Clerk a license fee of $1.00 for male or spayed bitch dogs and $2.00 for female dogs. The County Clerk shall issue to such person a license and a metal tag, stamped with the year o f issue, the name o f the county in which it is issued, with a number thereon corresponding to the number on the license. Said tag shall be attached to a collar to be worn by the dog. The said license shall bt for a period of one year from January 1st. ANY’ PERSON WHO SHALL FAIL TO PROCURE SUCH LICENSE BY MARCH 1st as herein provided shall be required on procuring such license TO PAY AS A PENALTY an additional sum o f $1.00 for each male or spayed bitch dog, or $2.00 for each female dog. The county assessor and his deputies shall forthwith report to the sheriff and the county clerk all dogs that they shall find that are not li censed as herein provided, together with the owner or keeper thereof. SECTION 93G8. LICENSE. You may secure dog license by mail. Send the name of owner, address, sex, and kind of dog, together with the fee as above stated, to County Clerk, Oregon City, Oregon.
