Children’s Day will be observ ed next Sunday at the church af ter Sunday School, during the church hour. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Erickson on Sunday evening, June 5th, 1921, at the W. W. Tucker home. « ''Mrs. A. M. Grable returned from Eugene, Oregon, Saturday night, having spent the week at the State Grange, representing the Springwater Grange. Sunday guests at the W. W. Christensen home, were Mr. and Mrs. McQuade, Mr. and Mrs. Hartung and daughter Margaret, from Portland. The Womens Neighborly Club, met on Wednesday with Mrs. Jas. Shibley, with Mrs. A. M. Grabel, Mrs. J. F. Moger, Mrs. Joe Guttridge, on the serving committee. The annual meeting at the church last Sunday, was very well attended, and the same officers of the church were se lected to serve in office for the coming year. DOVER Mr. and Mrs. Newman were visiting relatives at Cornelius. Mrs. Virgil Post is well again and returned to her home near Salem. Mr. and Mrs. Guthrie were en tertaining friends from Portland, Sunday. Miss Alice Udell is visiting her uncle and aunt of Barton at present. Several families from Dover, attended the graduating exer cises at Gladstone Park, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw had friends from Newbergto visit them dur ing the week. Mrs. Akin and babies are home again after spending a few weeks in Portland. Rev. T. B. Young, of Garfield, preached at the Methodist church Sunday, at 11 a. m. • Alice Udell, Helen Marvin and Vinnie DeShazer received their eighth grade diplomas at Glad stone Park, Friday.
