Thursday, June 2. 1921 LOCAL BREVITIES AND NEWS II EMS Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hillman were in town Memorial dav. F. E. Burns and wife visited- Portland Friday and Saturday. Mrs. 0. E. Svron and son Paul went to Portland Monday to be gone a week. John Dunseath spent a few days with his family the first of the week. Mrs. Fred Bartholomew visit ed her mother at Lents Saturday and Sunday. Dr. Alfred Williams and Geo. Maronay drove over from Sandy on business Tues lay. E. E. Hannah enjoyed a weeks vacation with his family. He is employed at Bull Run. Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Allen came over from Marmot Saturday to see his father, who is very sick. J. A. Riggins of Springwater, is able to be out again after a serious siege of pleuro-pneumo- nia. Burt Moore was in Portland last Saturday to see his wife and bafcy, whom he expects will be home in a few days. James Murphy and two daugh ters, Katie and Frances, of Bull Run, were here Saturday to visit at the C. L. Allen home. Mrs. C. P. Wellington arrived last week from Palo Alto, Calif., to visit her niece, Mrs. E. W. Bartlett for a few weeks. 0. E. Smith came home from Portland Friday night to visit his family for a few days. He now has a position with the P. R. L. & P. Co. Dave Eschleman and wife and David Jr., motored to Salem last Saturday where they visited his mother and other relatives, re turning Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Goodrich, of Portland, came Saturday to spend Sunday and Monday with their daughter and her family. Mrs. J. F. Dunlop. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Straughan arrived from Lewiston, Idaho, last week to visit at the home of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Hannah. The sidewalk in front of the confectionery of R. Marchbank, was treated Tuesday to a surface coat of two or three inches of ce ment, which makes it like new. Evelyn Bacon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Bacon, arrived from Echo, Oregon last Satur day, where she remained to fin ish the school year after her parents and brother moved here a short time ago. EASTERN CLACKAMAS NEWS Mrs. Rynning and her son Er nest, went to Arlington last Sat urday to remain a week with friends and relatives. They made the trip in Ernest’s new Ford. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Duus, who have been visiting the parents of the former, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Duus, left for their home at Maupin, Eastern Oregon, last Tuesday. The call for aid to the Armen ians from this place was placed in the hands of Rev. Dunlop of the Methodist church and Mrs. Marshall of the Christian church.
