The High School pupils are interesting themselves in the m atter and Estacada will he called upon to contribute its quota for this object as part of the state wide effort. We in itiated three candidates through the mysteries of the 1st and 2nd degrees and ran seven applica tions on the table to be initiated next month. Strangers need not . ask any rnoie what that white building in Garfield is. as we now have the name and number of our Grange on th e hall. We served a s usual the birthday cake. Lecture hour was taken up with singing and discussion. Resolutions, were passed by a imam ions vote; condemning the abuse of the emergency clause at the special session of the state legislature and to defeat any candidate w h o at this session supported the flood of hills with the emergency clause attached, also commending Governor Olcott from vetoing more than thirty of these bills and recommending the drawing up of a bill to safe guard the referendum privilege.
