The vacancy caused by the resignation of 0. M. Opstiid, cheese maker at the factory uf the Estacada Cooperative Cheese Association, was last week filled by the employment of Fred F. Garrison of Klatskanie. Mr. Garrison comes highly recommended, being a man of years of practical experience, having lately been in charge of the factory at Klatskanie. Mr. Garrison is a married man and with Mrs. Garrison is now mak ing his home in Estacada. Mr. Opsiad, to whose energy and knowledge of the business, the success of the local factory is to a large extent due, resigned ] to accept a more remunerative position at Buhl, Idaho, leaving for that point Tuesday. Mrs. Henry Trapp of Garfield is spending Christmas among relatives at Woodburn, Oregon. Mrs. Walter Givens of Estaca- ! da left Christmas morning for Coherg, where she will he with Mr. Givens during his two weeks revival work there. Howard and Denny Givens are enjoying the holidays as guests of Mr. and i Mrs. Harry LaBarre at Log La Barre. Corp. Sam Barr, who is sta tioned at Camp Lewis spent Christmas at his home in Esta cada. Frank Boyer of Currinsville returned to Estacada Tuesday after a seven day trip to Cali fornia, where he went expecting to remain indefinitely.
