Locals Attend Cannery Meeting Five o f the fruit growers c f Garfield attended the annual meeting o f the Gresham Fruit Growers’ Assn., last Monday. The local men were we'corned by the Gresham growers and re turned home satisfied that the Gresham Cannery will be a suc cess, with its 200 or more enthus iastic co-operative members, o f whom, over one hundred attend ed the meeting. The former officers and board were elected to serve during the coming year. The company have entered into a contract with the Northwest Canners’ Assn, to handle the sale o f their goods and have hired a competent proc ess man o f 20 years experience, to handle the canning work proper.
