Locals Attend Cannery Meeting
Five o f the fruit growers c f
Garfield attended the annual
meeting o f the Gresham Fruit
Growers’ Assn., last Monday.
The local men were we'corned by
the Gresham growers and re
turned home satisfied that the
Gresham Cannery will be a suc
cess, with its 200 or more enthus
iastic co-operative members, o f
whom, over one hundred attend
ed the meeting.
The former officers and board
were elected to serve during the
coming year. The company have
entered into a contract with the
Northwest Canners’ Assn, to
handle the sale o f their goods
and have hired a competent proc
ess man o f 20 years experience, to
handle the canning work proper.
