Tygh Valley 1 Frank Butler was out from The Dalles and stopped at the Jerome Morrow home. Mr. Fraley went to Kingsley Monday looking after interests Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Fagan of Moro are guests of Mrs. Fagan 'b parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Young. Mitt Wing was down from Wamic Monday. He has rented his farm and is going to Mon tana. R. C. Jory, who has been sell ing Pendleton goods here return edto Maupin last week. John Morrow sold his sheep, tak ing to Maupin Wednesday. C W. Wing and Zene Watkins each purchased a fine cow of Dr. Brown last week. (remainder to follow next week) Days to get bread, ice cream and cold drinks is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,- Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, at Harphan's confectionery. Tygh Valley 2 Dr.' Frank Brown is leaving Tygh Valley for Vale, where he intends to continue the practice of medicine. We all wish him a pleasant home and successful practice. Mrs. B. M. Shannon has been sick for two weeks, under Dr. Brown's care, Bhe is now getting along nicely. Clyde Oliver came in Saturday night and went to Maupin with the degree team I. 0. 0. F. lodge Tygh Valley. J. T- Harper and family have moved back to the ranch. We hear of no more mad dogs and the herder who was bitten by one of Hauser's dogs, and went to a Portland hospital, is on deck again, we are glad to say. The ball game between Wamic and Tygh was quite a fizzle foe Tygh, but the runaway scared the boys so bad was the reason. ; Willis Norval's pretty little blaze faced team, while coming to Tygh Sunday were frighten en at an auto and ran away de molishing the new wagon, throw ing Mrs. Norval out and hurting her quite badly. No bones were broken. She walked down the grade, going to the hotel instead of the game. The new grades are fast near- ing completion. Percy Thompsrjft is in Tygh again. The ladies are discussing little chicks, garden and house clean- ng topics over the back yard fence. Wonder if J. T. Harper is go ing to start a dairy? Buying so many cows. Gateway scored 5 in the fifth which was caused by Earl Crabtree's errdr on first, however the visitors did some good work in the out field as well as making the only hdrrte run. The Maupin team scored 2 in the third, 1 lh the fourth, 2 in the sixth and 1 in the tenth Inning. Time of game; 1 hour, 54 m!n utefr. After the game the Mau fjin boys were treated to a chick en" dinner by Mrs. L. D. Kelley. Schedule of future games are as follows: April 23, Maupin vs. Grass Valley at Maupin.
