Rowley, former Oregon Agricultural college man, who Is giving his time to the jvork. m - The Wilson junior high school orchestra with Its membership of 23 players will make its fourth public appearance at the Christmas assembly and is now practicing music to ne played at that time. rne orchestra meets regularly at the eighth period on Wednesday and Friday of each week under the direction of Mr. Landles. A small room on the second floor is to bo fitted up soon for a girls' rest room. All the furnishings are to be provided by girls of Miss Agee's gym classes and it is ex pected that the room will become one that all the girls will be proud , of and that will provide a much needed addition to the facilities of the building. A committee of teachers consist ing of Mrs. Morrow, Miss Groves and Miss Agee is working on plans to provide the lady teachers' rest room with furniture. Eight art screens to be used in the art room and on the auditor ium stage have been made in the manual training department re cently. Four benches to be used in the boys and girls' dressing rooms have also been made and work has been started on a type writer table for the office. The man ual training department ,1s a busy one these dnys with boys working before and after school In an effort to completo projects Intended to serve as Christmas presents for the home folks. Even on Saturday a number of boys spend consider-. a iio time in tne snop. Tables in tho homo economics department are laden with fine candles made by the students un der tho supervision of Mrs. Hillman and Miss Hadloy. Theno candles will be sold before the holidays to students nnd patrons of the school nnd the money, turned back to the department for further prac tice work. Much' of tho better kinds of candy will be boxed and sold tn patrons, but the rest wii! be sold In the halls. Such immensely practical and friendly little gifts but above all so useful! Not' to be laid away in some ob scure drawer and forgotten but to be used daily and appreciated. Everyone welcomes handkerchiefs and at our store now even after weeks of intensive selling you will find the stocks fresh and clean and the selections satisfying.
