Howe of Oregon, presi dent of tho Pacific Coast confer ence, who left Kiigen yesterday morning for Seattle. Tho biggest question perhaps to come before the body will bo the. matter of par ticipation for freshmen. This will affect the future of tho Pacific coast colleges very materially. At the last meeting several con ference schools were in favor of nbolishing freshman sports, but nothing definite was decided upon. Professor Howe said. The whole question will be threshed out and H will be definitely decided wheth er or not the colleges will continue the first year auorts.
