It was alleged ihnt the influence of a fedeml judge in Kentucky, a relative of Hhelton, was lined to obtain his release, ami Sheriff Slkkels protested the move to the governor of Oregon. After returning lo Eugene of his own volition, ho was arrested and pleaded guilty to stealing the automo bile, and was sentenced to the peni tentiary. Ho attempted to return to his former wife, who refused him. "If you ever get, married again, I'll kill you," Hhelton IS nuoicu us saying to his former wife before, he left for tho penitentiary. While, he has been at Halem, his former wife obtnined a divorce, anil has since remarried. The slieritt a 01 fice hero fear that Shelton may at tempt to carry out his threat. Shelton is fi feet 10 Inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, has light complex ion, blue eyes and dark hair. Jlc is a laborer.
