Lamb, who died at the Pacific Chris tian hospital Saturday nt the age of 71 years, was held this afternoon from the Veatch chapel, with Dr. K. V. Stivers ot the First Christian church, in charge. Interment was in Laurel Hill cemetery. Mr. Lamb, who was a resident of Eugene for more than 38 years, !b survived by a widow. Mrs, MatUe Lamb, five sons and five daughters, as follows:' Mrs. A. A. of this city are expected to make the hike to tlio'Threo Sisters area early next month and take part in the climb to the summit, according to K. E, Holdeman, physical director of the as sociation, who is arranging the details of the event. "It was proposed to have this Juke this month but adverse wea ther conditions have resulted in post ponement," Mr. Hotileman states. Corps to Compete The drum and bugle corps of Eu gene Post No. 3, American Legion, will compete for the big hiker loving cup offered as a trophy for the best organization in tbe stnte, it is an nounced by George E. Love, drum major. The corps will make a two-day trip to Prineville June 25-24, to enter the all-state competition.
