Mountain Trip Plannod
About 30 boys of the Y. M. C. A. of
this city are expected to make the
hike to tlio'Threo Sisters area early
next month and take part in the climb
to the summit, according to K. E,
Holdeman, physical director of the as
sociation, who is arranging the details
of the event. "It was proposed to have

ther conditions have resulted in post
ponement," Mr. Hotileman states. It
will be at least May 1 before the roads

Corps to Compete
The drum and bugle corps of Eu
gene Post No. 3, American Legion,
will compete for the big hiker loving
cup offered as a trophy for the best

nounced by George E. Love, drum
major. The corps will make a two-day
trip to Prineville June 25-24, to enter
the all-state competition. All enrolled
members of the organization will meet
tonight for practice and for the first
instruction in the selections to be
played at rrinevillc.
