Man Held Here on Federal Warrant Fred Head who has been residing in Eugene for the past month was arrested today by deputies from the office of Sheriff Taylor at the re quest ' of the federal authorities nt Portland.- Head has been employed at the Eugene garage, according to Hheriff Taylor. An epi demic of influenza has struck the public school here that is (he most widespread of any epidemic in the history of the city. .Statistics issued here by tho high school authoriticH indicated that for the month ending March 20 the per centage of. attend ance of bigh school children was 01.1 per cent, over five per cent, lower than normal, and the lowest for which any records are available.
