Here is i what happened: Mr. Stahl had park ed his automobile on Willamette I street for not more than 33 minutes, and when he went to get in it he found a traffic tag on his machine, arcuiiug him of parking more than one hour. Producing proof that he had not violated the city ordinance, Mr. Stahl brought the tiig to Judge Gilmore. The judge soon discovered that the tag had been "forged," that is, the license number and other items except the initials of Captain John Macey, who had attached the tug to some other car probably .that of the practical joker, t hief of Police Judkins has authorized any police of ficer discovering any motorist chang ing a traffic tag to bring the mis creant into court at once. (Special). Following two strokes of paralysis, Edward Arlando Saltsman died Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Salt. man had been in poor health for some time. He ffna born in Enfield, Illinois, May 22. 1871. He was 53 years, 9 months utd 25 days old. He was married in iliinois, March 13, 1807, to Miss Myr ile Allen. Three children are living, William Saltsman of Long Beach, Cal. and Ralph and Mryoa Saltsman of Cottage Grove. He leaves, besides bis widow, Mrs. Myrtle Saltsman ,and the three children, his mother, Mm. Isa line Tabitha Saltsman, of Cottage Grove, and three brothers, Olage Saltsman of Poplar Bluff. Mo., Allie SaltBinun of Bclknal, 111., and Fred Saltsman of Cottage Grove; one sis ter, Mm. Mattio Little, and one grandchild, Barbara Hose Saltsman of Long Beach, Cal.
