Skip Worth. 1 Tests to be Made Of School Pupils Inoculation of tile children of the Condon and tho Frances Willard schools with toxin anti-toiin will bo under way next week and this will complete the giving of the diphtheria preventative, according to Dr. S. M. Kerron,- city and couuty health offi cer. Tho treatment will take effect within two months or more after Inoc ulation, Dr. Kerron states. Next fall tho Schick test will be given all pupils in order to detormluo if the preventa tive has been successful. Tho Schick lest is an application of the toxin to the skin and is a simple test of the success of inoculation, tho doctor states. County Road Plan Ordered by Court Notices of the establishment of a new county rood and the vacation of another have been filed by tbe county court. A road from county road num ber 720 to connect with road number 153 at a point 600 feet south of road number 834 is to be established and this matter will some before the court at the April term. The nz'r road is for the purpose of establishing the route before any improvement work is undertaken on tbe Eugene-Lorane highway. The road right-of-way will have a width of 00 feet. Tho road to he vacated is from tlto starting of road number 651 to the beginning of road number 704 and all of road 704. This matter will come up at the March court term. Mr. Mielke is also a former president of tho rortland chamber of commerce. Lane Court Plans To Attend Session Judge- 0. P. Barnard and Commis sioners Clinton Hurd and O. E. Crowe of the Lane county court will probab ly attend the meeting of the state highway commission to be held ut Portland Thursday, February '2U, ac cording to announcement today. Plans for the co-operation of tho state in road work in Lane this year will be talked over. E. Tourtellotta who has completed the audit of the city books.' The combined financial state ment was presented last night at a meeting of the finance committee of tbe council, Mayor E. B.
