In keeping with the day ap propriate decoratioss were used about the rooms in the form of flags in honor of Lincoln's birthday. Valen tines and other favors of that dey were also used. Miss Johanna James And Joe Ellis Wed in Salem Coming as an interesting and com plete surprise amid the week's affairs was the announcement of the inai riage of Miss Johanna James and Joe Ellis, two widely-known Eugene young people. The wedding was an event of Saturday at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Koy Bice, in Sa lem. The ceremony was performed by Father Buck of Salem at two o' clock in the presence of a few rela tives and friends. The bride was attired in a dark tailored suit with hat to match, and carried a corsage ot freesia and Ophelia rosebuds. Her sister, -Mrs. Boy Bice, was matron of honor, while Mr. Bice attended the bridegroom. Airs.
