HARLEY HAM DIES IN PORTLAND Mrs. Harley Ham, 24, a resident of Eugene until about a year ago, died at her home In Portland Thursday. Besides her husband, she Is survived by one son, Ray mond, 5,- and Helen. 3. The body will arrive In Eugene this evening. Roosevelt Highway In Good Shape, Is Report of Doctor The Roosevelt highway from Crescent City., Cal., up the coast to Bandon is in fine condition, according to Dr. C. E. Hunt of the Eugene hospital staff of physicians, who has returned from a vacation trip to the Oregon Caves, Crater Lake, and Crescent City, Cal. Accompanying Dr. Hunt on hia trip were his family and his brother-in-law, C. E. Robert son and family, of Whltefiah, Mont Tourists are being routed from Crescent City over the mountains to Grants Pass, according to Dr. Hunt. That road is in very bad shape at the present time, as a new., highway is being constructed and the old one neglected. The Roosevelt highway 1b much bet ter, he said. The roads from Eu gene to the California coast city, however, are fine if the route to Roseburg, Bandon and down the Roosevelt way is taken.
