Jobes of Portland, will be a Eugene visitor Thursday and Friday when ahe comes to take charge of the ceremony of placing a marker on the grave of Peter ilulin, a vet eran of the war of 1812. The national society of the United titates Daugh ters of 1812 will be represented by its members in Oregon who will place the off ioiuj grave marker for the soldierB of the war of 1812 upon the grave of Mr. ilulin, father of L. G. Hulin, of this city who is now in Clureinont, California. The ceremony will take place Frl- da ttt ternoon. 'at two o'clock in the .Odd Fellows .cemetery and will be conducted by .stats officers of ths so .cie'ty essts'ed by ths Daughters of the American Revolution. -The public is invited to'the service. Three graves of soldiers of the war of 1812 Uv been parked in tire state by-the Ore gon lociety. Mrs. Jobes, who la state president, will be s;d to meet any women eli gible to membership in tbe society ot the Osburn hotel Friday afternoon from four until fire o'clock. Lewie and Clark chapter of the D. A. It, has received Mra. Jobes' invi tation to take part in the ceremony and several of their members will bo present at the service. The dozen unaffiliated members of the P. B. O. Sisterhood entertained those who b el on ft to Chapter 11 in Eu gene with a most enjoyable party in the Chamber of Commerce Monday evening. A great variety of games sod contests provided entertainment for a lively evening. Husbands of P. B. O.'s were guesta also. Bowls and baskets of Scotch broom added in carrying out the decorative color scheme of gold and white, P.
