Nice, firm, meaty, red-ripe tomatoes looking as though they'd just been picked from the vine. That's the kind of canned tomatoes this store carries Preferred Stock. The Santa Clara Valley, of California, produces the best to matoes. Thry grow, down there, to almost perfection. Mostly meat and very firm when ripe. They are canned the same day thry are picked at one of the finest canneries in Cal ifornia right where they are grown. This rapid work of get ting them from the vines into the cans is responsible for the preser vation of the frcsh-from-the-vine flavor of Preferred Stock toma toes. Th entire line of Preferred Stock Canned Goods always measures up to this same high standard MATLOCK'S - Holt 61 E. They know that no matter what they or der they are sure to get the best. It means a great deal to our cus tomers and it means a great deal to us. As an illustration of the qual ity lines we carry, let us consider canned tomatoes. Probably there are more tomatoes used than any other item of canned vegetables. Often you have opened a can of tomatoes that looked like soup. Not a very appetizing sight, surely.
