Fouts and Clyde of Multnomah atJ J,j'tJJJj, Eaton fired a question at Thompson dumandlug to know if It were not true that he (Thompson) had prom Miod to vote for the appropriation bills if consideration of them was de ferred until next week. Tho Intima tion in this question was that Thompson wua trying to hold a club over tho head of Eaton, who la a Krnriuiiti: of tho university and a res ident or huigcnn. - There wero two bills provdlng for the Htatn's contribution for new building;! and equipment to the uni versity In the next two years. The first railed for $328,2!8.2 for a now administration building for new grounds mid equipment and the ex tension of the correspondence study department of tho university.
