honey, of Morrow, were endeavoring
to punish Eaton, of Lane, for refus
ing to trade votes with .them.

building;! and equipment to the uni
versity In the next two years. The
first railed for $328,2!8.2 for a
now administration building for new
grounds mid equipment and the ex
tension of the correspondence study
department of tho university. The
second called for l'Vo,0U0 for a new
library building.

Hollis of Washington launched the
debate, declaring that be believed In
the support of worthy educational In
stitutions and In giving the univer
sity everything-wtnln reason , but
he objected to the form In which tho
first bill was presented. This asked
for $175,000 for new building and
the rinalnder for oqulpment and oth
er things. Mollis contendod that the
unlvorslty did not show proper ap
preciation of tho Intelligence of the
legislators and that It should have
presented the plans for the proposed
buildings.

the buildings to be erected," ho said

of "brutal prizefights."
Further, they are accused of gross
mismanagement and inefficiency in
the discharge of their duties.
These general charges are made
against all the four commissioners,

missioner of finance, is charged with
