C. fawlnney has Bpureil no expense in fitting up the theatre commensurate with the needs of a growing city Btich as we have here and proposes to present none hut hendlinera In the vaudeville business. The thentro Itself is one of the fin est on the const. A brief description will give to Guard readers somewhat of an Idea of how the house is ar ranged. The stage is 19 1-2 feet deep and extends to the side entrance a distance of forty feet. The prosce nium opening has a width of 14 1-2 feet and a height of 15 feet. On the stage at the side are arranged three dressing rooms with room left for a fourth should It become necessary. Around the arch are 28 electric lights and on the stage are 14 switches, all controlled from one main switch. The small switches are intended to operate lights In various parts of the house. In all 600 lights will be used. All the wires in the house are conducted therein through conduits and are perfectly flreprrof. The auditorium will seat 2G0 peo ple at one time without crowding. The room will be fitted with folding opera chairs, which will be arranged in two aisles three on each side and four in the centre and running back in 22 rows. The orchestra pit Is I . s ue enough to hold six musicians and a piano at one time. The floor of the main room has a drop to the stage which enables those seated In the rear to wo the stau" over the heads of those sltliii in front. The celling will be fitted with bulb lamps in chandeliers and arranged In star-like formation. The celling Is painted a dark green and the ,le walls red. with green trimmings. The aisles will be covered with cork rub vr matting, pio of a dark green ffior. The lamp house Is constructed as nearly fireproof as Is possible to make It. It is lined throughout with asbestos a quarter of an Inch in thickness and the room will contain four lamps of the very latest pattern and arranged to give all the effects In lighting. The front will be det-orated around the ventilation hole with terra rotta ornaments. The front doors will be double and will contain oval mirrors itid will be palnt-d a pare white.
