Trial of Thugs Begins The trial of Harry Murphy and Robert Harvey, the two thugs who robbed and beat M.V. DeWald at Cot tage Grove a few weeks ago, was be gun late this afternoon. The work of securing the jury Is now in progress. Civil Cases In the ense of Ed Howe vs. Alf Walker, to recover money, the jury returned tl verdict in favor of thfc defendant. The Jury consisted of the following: Geo. A. Dyson, Will. A. Seymour, Otho Roberts, G. L. Day,. S. B. Jackson, Jr., W. E. Flsk, E. L. Gum, R. C. Martin. Jas. Hum phrey, Andrew Bunch and I. T. Nick lin. The case of Albert J. Ward vs. Geo. T. Hall. Sr., to recover money, was taken up this morning. The fol lowing jury was selected: Thomas Gray, G. T. Rny, W. J. Canndy, A. A.
