With the firing of a national salute ami the ringing of hoi Is throughout the city. Hartford this morning entered upon a period of throe days juhilarton in eelehratKm of the completion of the new bridge spanning the Connecticut river, which is said to be one of the largest and most artistic structures of its kind to be found anywhere in the country. The city has put on gala attire in honor of the event and handsome electric arches have been erected at the bridge approaches. Visitors are here from many points In Massa chusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Is land to witness the celebration. The programme provides for several pa rades, historical pageants and tab leaux, a water carnival of yachts and motor boats, a general Illumination of the city and one of the finest dis plays of fireworks ever seen in New England.
