All escaped in jury. On the train were many Eugene people among the passengers. The shock, however, from what they say, was not as great as might be sup posed, the train not stopping for sev eral hundred feet. The first report reached Eugene at about 10 o'clock. Dr.: Paine took a gasoline road velocipede to look after the' Inlnred Rmrlnpap vtnhni brought to the Eugene hospital in an auiumoDiie. At 12:30 the first train from Eugene reached the scene and brought In the passengers and the remainder of the Injured. The bodies of the three men who were killed were left lying at the wreck. The wrecking train from Roseburg arrived at 2:30, and the track was cleared bv 9 o'clock this morning. Two sections of No. 16 were hern itntll in n'nlnr.lr The engine which was overturned by the sleeping bull was No. 2203. The bull belonged to a farmer by the name of Busline!, but how it got on the track is not known. Its head was completely severed from Its body and the remainder mangled. Because of the color of the animal. the theory has been advanced that the headlight of the engine does not show a brindle tawny color distinct ly, and for that reason the engineer could not tell what was In the nath of his train. The sight which greeted the Eu gene people who went to the wreck was most gruesome. The lights of the cars were extinguished by the im pact. The first arrivals from Eugene searched the ruins, a number of them walking over the dead bodies of the men who were thrown to the ground from the end of the mall car. Their bodies were horrlby mangled. Riveted buttons that can't pull off. . All edKeS are double stitched cloth scientifically shrunk-and sanitarily camphoiatcd to protect it from moths and germs.
