The committee has paid especial atten tion to this feature of the program and the results of their efforts will be seen tomorrow morning. Hartle of North B-end waa to have opened the scientific pro- grain of the Oregon State Medical association yesterday by reading a paper on "Surgical Interference in Some Obstinate Stomach Trouble." O'Day who arrived from Coos Bay this morning to attend the convention, said that the telegram waa not an exaggeration, hut that the man operated upon had been a circus performer 17 years, had swal lowed things In a sideshow and had come over from Hawaii on the same steamer with him, having been taken III Just before Cooa Hay was reached. The operation was performed In the North Bend hospital and 113 pieces of hard, foreign articles were re moved from the glass eater s stom ach.
