H Starr of Monroe and her r,-year-old son, l.orls, when they were thrown headlong In front of a heavy farm sled and dragged along for a hun dred yards behind a pair of fright ened horses. How either escaped alive Is a mystery, as both were roll ed and twisted under the front of the heavy runners, while part of their clothing or limbs were caught on the front of the sled and held until a hundred yards of road had been trav ersed.
