A most remarkable escapo from
death was experienced by Mrs. J. H
Starr of Monroe and her r,-year-old
son, l.orls, when they were thrown
headlong In front of a heavy farm
sled and dragged along for a hun
dred yards behind a pair of fright
ened horses. How either escaped
alive Is a mystery, as both were roll
ed and twisted under the front of the
heavy runners, while part of their
clothing or limbs were caught on the
front of the sled and held until a
hundred yards of road had been trav
ersed. The sled suddenly turned
over and both occupants Jumped up
almost without a bruise.
