Prune Growers Are Aided by Drouth Failures la the East. H4LK.H, Aug. 5.- Piunegrowera In this section expect that prices for dried fruit will be materially aided by the ilrnulh In the Eastern state. Private ail vices confirm previous report that tho fruit crop eat of the Rocky moun tains has been greatly damage.1. Al ready prune dealers are receiving In quiries concerning Oregou prunes, while before the drouth they had to bunt the Eastern buyers. Several weettB ago the outlook for prices was very poor aud growers took a dis couraglug view of that phase of the crop. A large yield was promised, however, so the Oregon growers oould tee their way out In spite of low prices, and tbe growers are happy. There is also reason to believe that California orop may again be tied up by the Cured Fruit Association, and II this should ooour, the market for Ore gon fiuit will be enlarged.
