He stated that Mr. Bryau was the foremost American citizen today. I. L. ( ampbell read letters from Chairman Sheridan, Judge O'Dny and Hon. M. A. Miller, saying that Mr. Bryan would speak in Kugene on April 6 at 11 a m. provided a special train was procured to bring him from Portland to Eugene. It had also been learned that the train would cost $196.80. Additional expenses of the occasion would require $'J5 to $50 more, On motion of Hon. L. Bllyou It was unanimously voted to make all necr farv arrangements to procure tun speaker on that date. Ou motion a committee or six on finance was appointed, consisting of L. Bilyeu, I.
