An ordiance to amend section 17 of an ordiance for the prevention of fires, iu laws of city of Eugene for 1893: The city of Eugene does ordain as follows: That section 17 of an ordi nance approved January 2, 1890, aud entitled an ordiance "For the Preven tion of Fires" beginning oh page 89 of the published laws of the city of Eu gene, and the same is hereby amend ed so as to read as follows:.' Sectlou 17 No wooden buildings within said fire limits shall be altered changed or repaired without permiss ion of the chief fire warden In writing und approved by the committee on lire and water of the common coun cil of the city of Eugene, which per mit shall specify fully the alteration or ohauges lequlred, aud such permit shall not extend over a period of SO days.
