McNary, of Salem, the contracting couple took their places under a bower of illusion and standing on ruga of white roses which were strewn in luxuriance over the floor. The bride was attended by Miss Carrie Friendly as bridesmaid and Mrs. Emma Tbompaou as matron of honor. All were dressed in rich white. The groom was attired iu the customary evening suit and was atten ded by Mr. B. B. Beekman of Port land. \fter the oereuiony a bounteous supper was spread iu the dining room and the guests, who unmliered about fifty, partook with pleasure, omening happiness for the newly wedded couple. As souvenirs of the occasion dainty pieces of wedding cake were distributed in boxes. The presents were numerous and rich iu quality and appearance. The decorations were principally in white Rambler roses and ferns. Other roses were lavishly distributed about the house. Guests from outside the city. were : Col. Tucker, B. B. Beekman, Fred Davie, Miss Dorris Clark and Mis* Henrietta lamer of Portland, Mrs. Dr. Byrd and Mrs. McNary of Salem.
