bride, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. B. Dorris,
at 9 o'clock last eveuing, Miss Stella
Pitt Dorris was united tn marriage to
Dr. Chas. Macrum, a riaiug young
physician of the state's metropolis.
The ceremony was a pretty one, per­
formed by Dr. D. E. Loveridge, Rec­
tor of the Episcopal church of this
city. Marching into the decorate,I
parlor accompanied by the Lohengrin
wedding man'll played by Mrs. Chas.
McNary, of Salem, the contracting
couple took their places under a bower
of illusion and standing on ruga of
white roses which were strewn in
luxuriance over the floor. After the
ceremony and during the congratula­
tions Mrs. McNary played the fatnoen

The bride was attended by Miss
Carrie Friendly as bridesmaid and
Mrs. Emma Tbompaou as matron of
honor. All were dressed in rich
white. The groom was attired iu the
customary evening suit and was atten­
ded by Mr. B. B. Beekman of Port­

The newly wedded couple left this
afternoon for Victoria and other
Puget Sound cities. They will reside
lu Portland where they will ba at
home to friends after July 20th.

At the same time that wedding
bells were ringing in one part of the
city they were pealing happiness in
another. At 627 Hilyard street, the
home.of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Vinoent,
Mr. Vincent’s sister, Miss Edythe,
was married at 9 o’clock to Mr. Isaac
I^arinter, of Springfield. Rev. Chas.
Woodward, pastor of the First Pres­
byterian church, performed the cere­
mony amid a shower of roeee and
other flowers. The bride and groom
were unattended and the event
quiet affair, only relatives
closest frieuds being present,
bride was attired in beautiful white
and carried a boquet of white La
Marque roeee.
After the ceremony supper waa
spread ¡and the assemblage enjoyed
the congratulations
which were
showered upon the happy couple as
much as the latter. Mr. and Mrs.
Larimer will reside in Springfield
where Mr. Larimer is in business.
They will be at home to friends after
the 1st of July.
Jam** A. Lowe, employed in Net­
tle’* logging camp at Leaburg, met
with an accident yesterday stfernoon
which reeulted in breaking his jaw.
It seems that he and Sol Dotson and
another man were working with a log
jack-screw when in some manner the
lever slipped and struck Lowe on tbe
chin, breaking tbe bone, and also
struck tn* other two men but their
