For six days beginning today Bermu da will celebrate the three hun dredth anniversary of its settlement by Europeans. It was in 1609 that Sir George Somers, on his way to Virginia with a company of settlers in a small fleet, was wrecked here end took possession of the islands in the name of England. Preparations have been made to celebrate the tercentenary with fetes and sports of all sorts, in which the civil government and the naval and military establishments will partici pate.
