The business men of Dallas took a stepof prime importance in the organ ization of the Dallas Development League, Tuesday morning, and the people of this city who are really in terested in its welfare will give the Dew organization all possible assist ance in the prosecution of the adver Using campaign which it is to take up The time Is particularly opportune. The Oregons, backed and supported by the people of Dallas, will leave next week on their banketball tour through the East and with proper ad vertisiog material placed in their hands, can sow the name and resources of Dallas broadcast until this city, like Eugene and other cities that have advertised, will become a point of crystallization fora larize Dor- tion of the throng of Immigrants that win sweep westward next summer. In addition to the colonist movement, the three big celebrations to be held on the Pacific Coast nexlsummer the Hose Fair at Portland: the Alaska Yukon Exposition at Seattle and the 'lhroe Years After Fair at San Fran Cisco will attract an enormous tour 1st travel. Dallas wants its share from the colonist travel and wants the tourists to know that it Is decidedly on tlie map as one of the most nromis ing of the Willamette Valley cities, and the work that the Dallas Develon mont League intends taking up is the very work that will accomplish that end. Younjf People's Meeting Tonight. The Young People's Society of Dai iuswill hold an important meeting in tho Mothodist Church toniirbt at ft o'clock for the purpose of discussing Biiujncts concerning tho work of the organization and electing officers for tho ensuing year. The meeting will be one of great Importance and they have made extensive preparations for the occasion. All will be welcome and as large an attendance as possible is d-sired.
