An old and often quoted proverb has said that consist ency is a Jewel, but alas, it is only too often found to be a Jowel whose rarity surpasses that of diamonds and rubles. THE HEM'S LAMEXT. An heir to Roosevelt forsooth? Alas what pood to me If be heir to Theodore And Teddy awatteth me! Monday, September 28, the public sonoois or Dallas win begin a new year and it has been found necessary to build a new building near the main school bouse to accommodate the in creased attendance. When this main school building was erected only a few years ago, many of the people of this district were almost appalled at its slznand declared that Dallas wouldn't grow enough In 20 years to need all thesohool room supplied by the new house. Something like seven years years have elapsed and already we are building new rooms to accommodate the overflow of attendance. Dallas has grown faster by about 12 years than those who once made a hasty estimate anticipated. Demanding from President Boose velt proof of the accusations be bad made against C. N. Haskell, treasurer of the Democratic National Com mittee, Mr. Bryan has received proofs and has received tbem with vengence. It Is not one of Theodore's traits to do things by halves. Thusfar the Be publioans have kindly furnished with startling promptness, whatsoever the Democrats have asked, even to fur nishing the names of certain persons who "flopped" In the registration before the primaries. Beally one would think that they might finally get trifle tired of having such plain, unvarnished and sometimes unpleas ant truths banded to them whenever tbey asked for tbem and would become a little less eager In their appeals In future.
