Gideon Stolz, of Salem, a man of years of experience in the business, is managing the enterprise, and has already shown by the activity with which he is carrying on his prepara tions, that he intends to make it an early and complete success. When Mr, Stolz and his son, Walter, came over from Salem yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, they bad formulated no definite plans concerning the erection of the factory, but so prompt. and effective was their action after their arrival in this city that before 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon they had all the necessary lumber on the ground and had the carpenters at work on the foundations. Mr. Stolz says that the soda works will be Installed first, and later he intends to enlarge the business so as to comprise the bottling of fruit juices and the manufacture of vinegar, a business in which he has won wide and richly deserved fame. He will later undertake the manufacture of sprays in which he has previously met with good success. He says that he can promise the people of Dallas a bottling plant as extensive and well equipped as is generally found in a city of 25,000 inhabitants, and adds that be is con vinced that the market will fully warrant his action. Dudley Purvine, the general fore man of Mr. Stolz's establishment in Salem, will superintend the construc tion of the Dallas factory and the Installation of the machinery.
