The event was resched- uled because of forecasted rain. More than 40 people have signed up to be ven- dors so far. The event gives commu- nity members a chance to clear out old items while others find new treasures, all in one spot. This year’s sale will feature food and music. Center host NDA workshop Sept. 10 The Monmouth Senior Center will host a new pro- gram through the National Diabetes Association. Class will be every Thursday at 4 p.m. beginning Sept. 10. The class fee is $20 for 16 weeks. It is for those who have been told by a physi- cian that they are pre-dia- betic. Participants will learn how diabetes can be pre- vented through weight loss, nutrition and physical activ- ity. Preregistration is request- ed. For more information: 503-838-5678. Enjoy gospel music roundup at TJ Farm TJ Farm in Dallas will host The Ramming Steer Gospel Music Roundup this week- end at 4870 Van Well Road. Concerts will take place on Friday at 6:30 p.m., Satur- day at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. Performers on Friday and Saturday will be Sonrise with Jerry Ott and Sheri Dawn; on Sunday, Light- house Quartet will be the special guest. Admission is free, though there will be an optional “offering” for the performers, and campers are welcome. Coffee and pie will be available at the intermission each night.
