VBS starts at Trinity Lutheran Trinity Lutheran Church will sponsor Vacation Bible School Camp Discovery from 9 a.m. to noon July 20 through 24 at the church. The camp is for youths aged 4 through those enter- ing fifth and sixth grade. Ad- mission is free. At Camp Discovery VBS, kids will explore the Bible, make new friends, sing songs, and learn how Jesus works through them in their everyday lives. Kids will sing around the campfire, act out Bible stories, make crafts and have snacks. The scholar- ship is presented yearly to a student and is funded through proceeds raised by Master Gardeners during their annual plant sale. McOmie will give a pres- entation and a short video, followed by a reception and book signing. Registration is re- quired. The event is for The Jericho Road Gospel Bluegrass Band will play a concert at a pie social on Friday at the new am- phitheater at Faith Evangeli- cal Free Church, 2290 E. El- lendale Ave., Dallas. The concert is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Since forming in 2003, Jericho Road has performed in numerous churches, fes- tivals, prisons, and special events in Oregon and Wash- ington.
