The nails are working up in the sidewalks, endangering the tires and happiness o f festive scorchers, and thereby rendering the walks unfit for any thing but pedestrians, and the cross walks that have cost the town so heavily during the past year, are leaning to larboard, and the town pump— well it is all right, and only needs a little ‘fixen.’ Now g ntlemen you are informed oi your duties, (of courss you never dreamed you had any,) and if you dont put tilings in ship shape and in short order you names will be Dennis, Mosshack or Mud. The L e a d e r has made nrrange inents with Win.’ J. Bryan to club with the “ Commoner,” Mr Bryan’s new weekly paper, which was launched upon the Journalistic sea, on Jannary 23, at Lincoln, Nebraska. We believe Mr Bryan’s venture into neuspaperdom will be a successful one and we predict he will have a half million subscribers within a year. The subscription price o f the “ Commoner” will be $1.00 per year; that of the L e a d e r $1.50 per year, invariably in ad vance. Now for our oiler.
