Blair, and of friends in this city, the past week. Fingal Hinds is again in a Portland hospital, this time af flicted with a kidney trouble, which is believed to be incurable. Chas. Cochran and wife have been spending the past ten days at Newport, the babies remaining here with their grandmother, Mrs. L. F. Orpurd. L. M. Owens and wife left for St. Helena, California, Tuesday, where they will remain indefi nitely, and where Mr. Owens’ father and mother reside. E. A. Wheeler and wife left Monday afternoon to spend the fall and winter at St. Helena, California. They will visit brief- y, en route, with a son at Iiose- Ourg. The stock and fixtures o f the defunct Owl Cigar Store were moved Monday from Ostrander’s juilding to the old Bank Building near the bridge, where they are stored. Frank and Robt. Jones, Frank Wallace and Clarence Spencer eft Monday morning by private conveyance for Bandon by the sea. They will travel leisurely, taking time to hunt and fish along the route. Rev.
