a pleasant social evening and a
handkerchief shower after the
regular meeting held last Friday
evening. Mrs. Graham leaves
soon for her home in Wauna,
and the Chapter realizes that it
is losing a faithful and very effi­
cient officer.
Dainty refresh­
ments were served at the close of
the evening.
The executive committee of the
Presbyterian Ladies’ Aid Society
met at the home of the president,
Mrs. B. R. Job, last Friday after­
noon, and planned the work of
the Society for the coming year.
The Philathea class met for
Bible study at the home of Miss
Florence Protzman on Monday
afternoon. The subject of the
lesson was “ The Prodigal Son.”
Ten members were present.
April 26th being the anniver­
sary of the I. O. O. F. lodge, the
members and their families, and
the Rebekah’s and their families,
to the number of 200, assembled
at their hall Saturday, April 25th
and celebrated the event. A
splendid program was rendered
and delicious refreshments were
served.
Sunday morning the
Odd Fellows and Ilebekahs at­
tended the M. E. church in a
body and listened to a fine ser­
mon by Rev. Aldrich, the subject
being “ The Helpfulness of Re­
ligion.”
