He edited several papers in Oregon and Cali fornia and was uu able, fca.less writer. Deceased leaves a father and mother and a wife to mourn their loss. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and Woodmen o f the World at Santa Cruz, where the funeral was conducted by the Masons and was very impressive. He had sold his paper, The Bould er Creek, Mountain Echo, prior to his death. ------- ■ • ■ £■» Miners to Convene Here On Thursday, December 22, Miners’ Congress will be held in this city, and present indictious point to a large attendance, includ ing Prof. Parks of Corvallis Agri cultural college, and sessions will be held at the rooms of the Com mercial Club, the program for which is nearly complete. The meeting will be under the auspices o f the local association, and there will be a large attendance. " T h e boys” in the Bohemia camp have signified their iutention o f beiug present, and special effort is being made by them to induce others interested in the future wel fare of the district to attend, thus creating new interest in this com ing camp.
