their loss. He was a member of
the Masonic lodge and Woodmen
o f the World at Santa Cruz, where
the funeral was conducted by the
Masons and was very impressive.
He had sold his paper, The Bould
er Creek, Mountain Echo, prior to
his death.

Miners’ Congress will be held in
this city, and present indictious

cultural college, and sessions will
be held at the rooms of the Com
mercial Club, the program for
which is nearly complete. The
meeting will be under the auspices
o f the local association, and there
