Mr. Bennett is an electrician and has been con nected with the C cttage Grove electric and also the local tele phone com pany, principally with the latter with which he only re cently severed his connections iu order to accept a sim iliar position at Portland, near which city his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Ben- net now reside. T he bride is a charm ing and popular young lady and ha« held the position as sales lady in L urch's store iu this city for some time past and has filled other sim i lar positions iu Cottage Grove. The happy couple was the re cipients of m any beautiful and useful presents and after the im pressive w edding ceremony dainty refreshments were served. Mr. Bennett having been a mem ber of the local hand this orgaui zation treated the couple to lively serenade. Mr. Bennett is also a member of Com pany E of j \ this city. Mr. and Mrs. Beuuett I took their departure on the m id night train for a wedding trip north including a visit to the Seat tle exposition.
