F, Smith, a logger, tw enty-eight years old, was drowned Saturday afternoon at W eudliug iu the Booth-Kklly mill pond. W hen last seen he was w orking am ong the logs at 4 o ’clock. He did not come to supper and h 's wife gave put the alarm an d the searchers found the body iu the pond. He probably slipped aud was stunned, so th at he could not swim or save himself.
