ECKHARDTS IDEALS TWO NIGHTS STAND It is gratifying to know th at E ckhardts Ideals, a theatrical com pany, which is so well known and so well liked and which is a favorite with every child as well as the older people of Cottage Grove, will appear here for two nights com m encing next Friday night November 6. D ecora tions appropriate for the occasion were in evidence everywhere. The good old gam es were indulged iu, and to fittingly end such an evening, apples, popcorn and nuts were served. T he young people of the C hris tian church gave a party on H al lowe’en evening and an enjoyable time was spent. T h e members of the party were received b y a couple of ghosts and ushered in, to where games of all kinds were being in dulged in. Spearing fate, a new one to m any, consisted of throw ing a spear at a pum pkin covered with the letters of the alphabet. T h e letter which one hit, repre sented the initial of the one fate had intended for th a t individual. G ingerbread, doughnuts, peanuts, and raisins were considered c h a r acteristic of the occasion; and were served ofter an evening of m errim ent. The open season for bird shooting will soon be here.
