H allow een at the Churches
T he Epworth League of the
Methodist church reports a good
time at its H allow e’en festivities
last S aturday evening. D ecora

were in evidence everywhere.
The good old gam es were indulged

evening, apples, popcorn and nuts
were served.
T he young people of the C hris

time was spent. T h e members of
the party were received b y a couple
of ghosts and ushered in, to where
games of all kinds were being in
dulged in. Spearing fate, a new
one to m any, consisted of throw
ing a spear at a pum pkin covered
with the letters of the alphabet.
T h e letter which one hit, repre

had intended for th a t individual.
G ingerbread, doughnuts, peanuts,
and raisins were considered c h a r

and
were served ofter an evening of

The open season for bird shooting will soon
be here. Come in and see the famous new Rem
