Meanwhile the girls of the other room (of course ihey were not playing hookey from school) were locking the door so the freshies could not get out to de rfeml their flag. ; There were only four boys in the 'belfry to guard the flag, when the 'boys of tne seniors, juniors and soph omores had just got up to the belfry it was recess. Our room was dis missed just in timo to see the flag leave the pole but it never came to the ground so it was not disgraced it was not down from the top of the pole only a minute or two. The boys of the freshmen class were going to leave it up till six o'clock but were asked by their teacher, Miss Lea to take it down ;at four, so they did. E. church of1 this city, met at the Methodist clcnrch for the purpose of organ izing a literary society under the auspices of the League, it being chrisitcned "Epworth .Forum." H.
